Since joining Navi Collaborative in 2014 Josh has assisted in a multitude of ways: creating online video content, assisting behind the scenes during shows, and most notably writing and directing his own play, Balls. In 2019 Josh will make his performance debut with Navi in the ensemble of (on) WHATIPU as well as write a new original work for Navi's 2020 season.
"Navi's commitment to working with others has provided so many opportunities and lessons that have helped me mature as a creative. I am so excited for what 2019 holds. In an endeavour to continue to cement myself as a New Zealand play-write, I have committed to writing and workshopping a new play. Navi's support allows me to achieve so much that I would not be able to do on my own. I look forward to harvesting the rewards of what we have sown since 2014."
Courtney is a keen and active member of our collaborative. Since joining the core team in 2017 as Producer of our first original play Balls, she has risen from strength to strength producing and acting in our sold-out Basement Theatre season of Precious Little as well as assisting the team with general producing of the company. Like most of our core members, 2018 was a busy year for Courtney who on top of all her Navi endeavours also produced 1 and performed in 3 productions across Auckland, as well as winning 'Best Actress' in the Short+Sweet Festival. 2019 sees her return as a core cast member of (on) WHATIPU, our first production of our 2019 #Harvest season. The British author, James Allen once said, "The law of harvest is to reap more than you sow" and Courtney hopes to reap the creative skills she has sown in 2018 and continue to sow the seeds of her future professional development.
