Over the course of 30 years, the lives of Kayleen and Doug intersect at the most bizarre intervals, leading the two childhood friends to compare scars and the physical calamities that keep drawing them together as they spar, spat, and haltingly try to rescue one another.
With great compassion and humor, playwright Rajiv Joseph (Broadway’s Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo) crafts a compelling and unconventional love story about the intimacy between two people when they allow their defenses to drop and their wounds to show.

Navi Collaborative and Gruesome Playground Injuries

Gruesome Playground Injuries (GPI), was the first show that Dawn and Mj dreamt of doing when they founded Navi in 2014. They had no idea then that in 2016 they would have a dream team to work with to bring this beautiful and challenging piece of theatre to life. There was a bitter sweet feeling in the air when the show finished it’s run in Sep, 2016. Navi was so proud of its successful production, but not sure that Kayleen and Doug were really out of their systems. A reboot you ask? Well… someday… maybe.
